Here we have a joyful celebration of children skating on the frozen lake beside a wonderful stone bridge.  Over the bridge is crossing a stately carriage that may be carrying a family towards the church we see in the distance.   Children are helping decorate the Christmas tree on one side of the lake as others warm their hands by the fire.  The bustling little village is all aglow from the setting sun as the villagers are getting ready for Christmas morning.
