This plein air shows several dozens boats in Catalina’s Marina.  In the background, you can see the island’s infamous rotunda – the Casino.  The day is partially dark and gloomy, but blue skies are just ahead.  Thom loves to vacation in Catalina as I am sure that many of Los Angeles residences do.  Thom said, “What a perfect escape for the bustle of nearby city life.”
