Nanette is also featured on the left on a bike admiring the painter (which is Thom). Some of the townsfolk duck into the Thomas Kinkade Gallery (on the left) to take a break from the rain. A fictitious professor is walking a dog across the street. The store on the left called “Nansk” after his wife, Nanette is a real store named “Dansk.” It took Thom over 300 hours of studio time to complete this work – the most hours spent on one painting to this date.
