Located in Carmel, California and noted as one of Thom’s “favorite coastal village this side of England.” Thom and Nanette are on the moped.  As a young boy, he used to have a paper route in Placerville, but then he used a bike.  Note that an artist is painting on the left of the work.  This painting features the famous Tuck Box Tea Room on the right where Thom frequently eats breakfast and has tea.  A Thomas Kinkade Signature Gallery (co-owned by his brother Patrick and his partner, John Dandois) is located next door to this English tearoom. Arthur’s Gallery, located in this work, is one of the first art galleries in Carmel to sell Thom’s work.  Thom used his artistic license to widened this street (the streets in Carmel can be very narrow).  He added older model cars and a flower vendor for nostalgic reasons and added European flair.
