This painting has a handful of hearts hidden in it and was painted as a Valentine’s Day gift to lovers everywhere. Thom painted Brookside Hideaway when Nanette was pregnant with their third daughter, Winsor.  There is a single heart above the chimney of the house, one on the walkway and one in the flowers.  The birds flying away are shaped like hearts.
